Suspended Concrete Driveway Construction – Tusmore, South Australia
PSI Pavements was engaged to rebuild a residential driveway in Tusmore, South Australia, delivering a durable and long-lasting concrete solution. The project involved reconstructing the subbase, steel fixing, and precise concreting around an underground tank located at the centre of the driveway.
To achieve a permanent and structurally stable result, PSI Pavements designed and constructed a suspended concrete slab that spans the entire driveway area. A “suspended concrete slab” is built upon piers. Remarkably, the piers go eight meters into the ground. To achieve this, holes are bore drilled into the earth to accommodate the piers. This method ensures enhanced strength, durability, and resistance to ground movement, providing a superior finish for residential use.
